Rescued Seal Pups
Athena, female approx. 4-5 months old grey seal pup, was rescued on 10th March 2015 from Mundesley beach near Cromer by Nathan and Natalie.

The pup was found to be suffering from lung worms and weighed 30kgs. Click here to read more.

If you should discover a seal pup that seems to be in distress, or is alone, what you do next could mean the difference between life and death for the animal.

The animal care team is on call around the clock to race to the rescue of seal pups in trouble anywhere around the coast. Back at the Sanctuary, pups receive expert veterinary care and are gradually weaned from a liquid diet to whole fish in the purpose built hospital. Then it´s to the outdoor pools to gain weight and build strength and stamina ready to resume life in the wild.
