Beach Clean Day - 8th June 2019
Seals in the wild Sea Life Hunstanton will be hosting beach cleans along Old Hunstanton Beach on the 8th June 2019 for World Oceans Day. Volunteers are needed to join Sea Life staff and help protect these important coastal marine habitats.

If you would like to join the staff, all you have to do is respond by email slchunstanton@merlinentertainments.biz to request the registration form.
***What to expect on the day***
Wear suitable clothing and footwear - wrap up warm as the wind on the beach can make it chilly. Don´t forget the sun cream and a bottle of water!
If you have them, bring strong gloves - like gardening gloves.

All under 18s must be supervised by a parent or guardian. You will be asked to sign a parental consent form by the organiser.

The organiser will give you a safety briefing and tell you how to go about collecting and recording the litter. Most importantly - Have fun!

Rescued Seal Pups for 2019
Hedwig, female grey seal pup, was rescued from Holkham beach on 7th May 2019. These grey seal pups below are currently at the Hunstanton Sea Life, they will be returned back into the wild as soon as they have completed their rehabilitation.
Prince, the first rescued common seal pup of the 2019 season, was found on 27th May 2019 on Titchwell beach after being abandoned by his mum. He was found at 3 days old but weighing only 6kgs so he is extremely underweight. Common seals are usually born at 10kgs.

The white fluffy coat you can see should have been shed prior to birth so this tell us Prince was born prematurely. Click here to read more.
