Neil in the wild - 6th April 2017 - photo taken by Sue Sayer
Neil has not been seen in the wild around the Cornish Coastline for over 2 years (10th April 2014 to 23rd January 2017) but on 23rd January 2017, 23rd March 2017 and 6th April 2017 Sue Sayer a member of Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust (CSGRT) spotted him. She was so pleased to know that he is alright.

This © photo was taken by Sue Sayer was taken on 6th April 2017.

Members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust volunteer hundreds of hours of their own time to photo, identify, monitor, carry out surveys and watch over the seals around the Cornish coast.

The Cornwall Seal Group Research Trustare always looking for people to send in their photos so they can be matched with known seals on their database. They already have confirmed matches of seals first identified in Cornwall going to Ireland, Wales, Scillies and Northern France all through photos people have sent in. Sue Sayer, founder of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust, is great seal spotter.

To learn more about Sue Sayer´s great work, Sue has written a book called ´Seal Secrets´ which was published on 20th March 2012. It can be ordered from local bookshops or from Amazon.
