Maude was rescued on 6th February 2018
Maude, 12 weeks female old grey seal pup, was rescued from Castle beach, St Mawes by some members of British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

This pup was found malnourished and weighing only 15.5kgs. She also had an inflamed anus, possibly infected.

The pup was taken and treated at one of BDMLR´s holding facilities until a hospital pen became available a few days later at Gweek on 9th February 2018.
Maude
Maude Update - 25th February 2018 : Maude is bright and well, she seems to be enjoying having a bit of swimming when her isolation pen is filled with water.

Once she has gained some more weight, Maude will be moved from the hospital to the outside nursery pool. She currently weighs 15kgs.

Maude´s flipper tag number is 365 (green).

Maude Update - 28th March 2018 : Maude is currently in the nursery pool for her next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish with other rescued seal pups during feeding time.

Update - 29th April 2018 : Maude is in the convalescent pool and needs to put on some more weight before she is returned to the wild.

Update - 29th May 2018 : Maude along with Charles, Damzel, Legolas and Marigold, were released back into the wild on 25th May 2018 at Dollar Cove.
