Joker was rescued on 28th January 2015
Joker, 8 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued from the beach at Lamorna Cove, which is situated on the Penwith peninsula approximately four miles south of Penzance, on 28th January 2015 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

The pup was rescued due to net entanglement, net was cut away and he has a fairly deep wound all around his neck. He was also a bit snotty with an eye problem. Weighed 21.5kgs.
Update - 13th February 2015 : The pup had a course of antibiotics and decongestants. The neck wound is now doing really well and he´s swimming in the hospital every day. Still on the decongestant, but much less snotty!

Update - 31st March 2015 : Joker is in the outside pool for his next stage of rehabilitation.
His flipper tag number is 082 (yellow). Photo above was taken in March 2015.
 Joker - Photo taken on 24th April 2015 Update - 26th April 2015 : Joker is currently in the convalescent pool, he just needs to put on a little more weight before Joker is released back to the wild by the end of May 2015.

Update - 18th May 2015 : Joker along with Flash, Oracle, Sabretooth, Supergirl, Elektra and He-Man were released back into the wild at Gunwalloe on 14th May 2014.
