Gerry was rescued on 12th January 2018
Gerry, 12 weeks old female seal pup, was rescued on 12th January 2018 from Bamaluz beach in St Ives by some members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

This pup was found with wounds to her flippers and had a high temperature.

The pup was taken and treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories at one of BDMLR´s holding facilities until a hospital pen became available at Gweek on 21st January 2018.
Update - 19th February 2018 : Gerry has been temporarily moved back to the hospital as she was found to be unwell with a high temperature. She is doing very well now.
Gerry Update - 25th February 2018 : Gerry is now back in the outside nursery pool. She currently weighs 18.5kgs.

Gerry´s flipper tag number is 355 (green).

Update - 29th April 2018 : Gerry is in the convalescent pool and will be returned to the wild soon.

Update - 29th May 2018 : Gerry, along with Nampara, Beta, Chris, Ava and Pudding were released back into the wild on 17th May 2018 at Porthtowan.
