Damzel was rescued on 22nd October 2017
Damzel, 1-2 weeks old whitecoat female seal pup, was rescued on 22nd October 2017 from Black Rock beach in Bude by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

This pup was malnourished and very small at 12kgs, She had been monitored for several hours with no sign of her mum.

Update - 25th October 2017 : Damzel was moved through to the main hospital pen on 25th October 2017. The pup is currently on a course of antibiotics.
Update - 30th October 2017 : Damzel is enjoying swimming in her hospital pen. Still on treatment and learning how to eat fish.
Damzel Update - 1st January 2018 : Damzel is currently in the convalescent pool learning how to compete for fish during feeding time with the other rescued seal pups and the resident seals.

Damzel´s flipper ID tag number is 318 (green).
