Daisy was rescued on 6th July 2017
Daisy, a 3 day old female premature common seal pup, was rescued on 6th July 2017 from Hunstanton beach.

She was separated from her mum a few days after being born, Daisy was 1-2 days premature, as the pup still had some of the white natal coat, this is shed inside the uterus; pups are therefore born with their first adult coat. This pup weighed just 8kgs.
Daisy When Daisy arrived at the seal rescue hospital, the dedicated Animal Care Team were feeding her a special fish soup mixture.

Update - 28th August 2017 : Daisy has sadly passed away earlier this month; it is always very sad when one of the rescued pups dies but sometimes these little ones just don´t have enough antibodies and strength in them to pull through, despite the best efforts of all the staff at Hunstanton SEA LIFE.
