Clowance was rescued on 31st December 2017
Clowance, 8 weeks old female seal pup, was rescued on 31st December 2017 from St. Girt, Marazion by some members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

This pup was found with superficial wounds to her body and ulcerated eye.

The pup was taken and treated at one of BDMLR´s holding facilities until a hospital pen became available at Gweek on 4th January 2018.
Clowance
Clowance Update - 20th February 2018 : Treated with antibiotics, eye drops and stomach medication. Now off all treatment but still in nursery pool as had some unusual faeces.

Update - 25th February 2018 : Clowance is currently in the convalescent pool for her final stage of rehabilitation. The photo above and left were taken on 23rd February 2018, click here to see a larger version of these.

Clowance will be released back into the wild soon.

Update - 29th April 2018 : Clowance along with Graham, Gwynnvys, Schmirtz, Wynwalloe, Miner, Pascoe and Osborne, were released back to the wild on 20th April 2018 at Porthtowan beach.
