Battleship was rescued on 10th November 2015
Battleship, 2-3 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued by British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team from Portreath on the 10th November 2015. He weighed 24kg and had a large, infected wound on his left shoulder and puncture wounds on his front and rear flippers and tail, as well as a small scratch on his left eye. Initially he had difficulties keeping fluids down.

He is being treated with anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, eye drops and medicine to settle his stomach.

Battleship Update - 30th November 2015 : Battleship is now in the outside nursery pool for his next stage of rehabilitation and learning how to compete for fish during feeding time with Tic Tac Toe, another rescued seal pup.

Update - 1st January 2016 : This photo (left) of Battleship in the convalescent pool was taken on 29th December 2015, Click here to see a larger version of this.

Battleship´s flipper tag number is 63 (blue).
Update - 27th March 2015 : Battleship along with Bingo, One Eye Jack and Whist were released back into the wild on 23rd March 2016 at Gwithian.
