Ballet was rescued on 30th June 2018
Ballet, female Common Seal Pup, was rescued from Heacham South beach on the 30th June 2018, weighing only 9.5kgs.

She was found on the beach after exhausting herself swimming having been separated by her mother.

Update - 4th July 2018 : Ballet is a very chilled out seal, nothing much phases her. She´s very gentle in nature but is very keen for fish. With a little bit of encouragement, the Animal Care Team hope to have her feeding for herself soon.
Ballet Update - 5th August 2018 : Ballet is in the hospital and currently weighs 15kgs. She is making good progress and the Animal Care Team hope that this progress continues so that she can be released back into the wild.

Update - 5th September 2018 : Ballet is in the hospital´s swim pool with other rescued seal pups, she currently weighs 15.5kgs.

Ballet Update - 27th September 2018 : Ballet is now in the outside seal enclosure for her final stage of rehabilitation before she is returned to the wild.

Ballet´s ID flipper tag number is 459 (green).
Update - 17th October 2018 : Ballet was released back to the wild on 10th October 2018 along with other rescued seal pups, Agadoo, Morris, Shuffle, Vogue and Macarena.
