On Thursday 6th of December 2007, we received a call from the BDMLR, to say there was a pup on the beach at St Ives that was looking very poorly and needed to come in. Isolation 2 was cleaned and ready for the new arrival who came in the early afternoon. This pup after a little rest was very bright and snappy. The pup was weighed and found to be 19 kilos and with only a few scrapes to his nail bed. The pup was given fluids and left to rest, after nearly biting one of the Animal Care Team. After this we thought the name Hannibal was a very good name for him. |
