Nine seals released
With this week having great weather and nine pups up to weight, we set about preparing for releases. The first taking place on Wednesday 6th April at 7am in the morning on the beach at Gwithian. Five pups loaded and ready for the off were Nemo, Dug, Woody, Russell and Mirage. The release went well despite the large waves, and Dug even managed to stay awake through the whole event.
Seal Release
On Thursday 7th April we had a release of four seals at Porthtowan Beach at 7.30am which were Dash, Hopper, Splash and Petunia.
First in the water was Dash making a dash for the sea, next Petunia followed closely by Hopper and Splash. The Sanctuary hope this is the last time we will see Petunia at the Sanctuary and hoping second time lucky.
