On the 30th November 2009 saw the arrival of pup number 20, this little girl was found on the beach at Hayle and was around 6 weeks old, with a little graze to her chin which needed treatment along with some old puncture wounds which were infected. We brought the pup back to the hospital and put her into isolation pen and a full clinical assessment was carried out, cleaned and treated her wounds, started her on fluids as she was also very dehydrated through malnourishment weighing only 19 kilos. She has been called Rowena.

| The next pup arrived on the 3rd December 2009. We received two calls that day, one from Marazion and one from Porthmeor at St Ives. Hooch a little girl from Marazion was found on the beach very dehydrated with multiple puncture wound and ruckly breathing and weighing only 12.5 kilos it was important to get this seal back to the Sanctuary to start treatment, she is now in isolation 1 and doing well.

| Our second pup of the day was a little boy seal named Malfoy once again malnourished weighing only 14 kilos and being 2 weeks old, with no sign of mum, the pup was transferred back to the Sanctuary.

| On the 4th December 2009 we received a call from Mylor yacht club in the Fal Estuary about a seal. The team went out and found a small seal around 6 weeks old with a gash to the side of its face, swollen front flipper and a few old and new puncture wounds that had infections and would need treatment, this pup also came back to the Sanctuary and has been named Beedle.

| The Sanctuary's hospital is now full again, and we are hoping that once these pups start to feel a little better we can make more room for more.
