Guido rescued on 15th January 2011
Guido, a 16 weeks old seal pup, was rescued by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team on the 15th January 2011 from Porthgwidden in St Ives.

Upon arrival at the sanctuary, this little boy weighed 25 kilos and found to have bite wounds to flippers and face.

Update: 25th January 2011 - This week Guido was moved through to the main hospital from isolation 2. He is doing well and self feeding hopefully it will not be long before he moves outside to our nursery pools and mixes with the other rescued pups.
Update: 8th February 2011 - Guido has now been moved down to nursery pool No. 4 and currently weighs 25 kilos.
His flipper tag number is 32 (white).
Back to the wild Update: 4th March 2011 - Guido is by himself in nursery pool 3 and he needs to gain more confidence but feeding well for himself after his problems with his jaw. He spends his days shouting and sounds like a girl.

Update: 23rd March 2011 - Guido along with Billy, Poppy, Ugg, Francis and Teddy were released back into the wild at Porthtowan on 22nd March 2011.
