Festival of Seals - 23rd August 2004
The National Seal Sanctuary is holding a Seal Festival of games and fun for families.

The fortnight long festival is celebrating the rescue work carried out at the Sanctuary every year.

With the grey seals being born all around the Cornish Coast now, this is the ideal time to educate visitors and locals on how they can help with pups that may have been abandoned or injured.

“This is a great time to come and visit us and find out how you can help our team, by keeping a close watch on our beaches, during the forthcoming seal pupping season” said Manager Judy Williams.

The festival is running until the 5th of September and will include quizzes with prizes, free face painting and giving the chance to some children to feed our resident seals.

“We do feeds and talks throughout the day with each talk being different from the one before” added Judy.

The Sanctuary is open day from 10am.
