How long does the visit last?
You should allow 2 hours for your school visit. We advise all groups to arrive at least 15 mins before their allocated time slot.
Do you have coach parking facilities?
We have easy access for coach drop-off and pick-up.
Is there storage for coats and bags?
Yes, you will be allocated storage space for your group on the day of your visit.
Is there a designated lunch area?
We have a café area serving a range of food and drinks. We can also accommodate school groups with packed lunches. Please request an allocated lunch time when you make your booking.
Do you have a teaching room?
Yes, we have a designated teaching room available for exclusive use. This facility is free of charge and must be booked in advance.
Do you offer talks and demonstrations?
During your visit you will receive a 15 minute interactive touch pool demonstration from a SEA LIFE marine expert. Can I visit SEA LIFE in advance to help plan my class visit?
Yes, teachers can take advantage of a free pre-visit, to familiarize yourself with our facilities and exhibits. What is included in your school admission price?
Our school price includes:
  • a self-guided tour of the centre
  • 15 minute touch pool demonstration
  • one free teacher place for every five pupils
  • use of the classroom facility
  • access to our library of on-line curriculum linked topic sheets.
Do you provide curriculum-linked teaching materials?
Our SEA LIFE Education Programme includes a series of ready-to-use downloadable worksheets, project sheets and interactive information sheets for teachers. All designed to support Key Stage 1 and 2 learning.
What creatures will I see during my visit?
Our SEA LIFE Sanctuary houses a number of common marine residents, including sharks, rays, seahorses and crustaceans. In addition, we have otters and seals.
