DOCK - Rescued 16th January 2004

Dock was rescued on 16th of January 2004 from Porthleven, he was approximately 7 weeks old and weighed 18kg. When Dock arrived at the sanctuary, he had a very swollen rear left flipper with numerous puncture wounds, there were also many other wounds on his body and other flipper. He also had a discharge from his nose.
Hospital Update: - Dock now weighs 18kg and is self-feeding. Dock came into the sanctuary with a broken bone in his flipper which was removed during an operation. This was very successful and he is now waiting to have his stitches removed. Dock will then be introduced to water and when ready will be moved to the nursery pools outside.
