DOCK was rescued on 16th January 2004

Dock was rescued on 16th of January 2004 from Porthleven, he was approximately 7 weeks old and weighed 18kg. When Dock arrived at the sanctuary, he had a very swollen rear left flipper with numerous puncture wounds, there were also many other wounds on his body and other flipper. He also had a discharge from his nose.
Hospital Update: - Dock now weighs 18kg and is self-feeding. Dock came into the sanctuary with a broken bone in his flipper which was removed during an operation. This was very successful and he is now waiting to have his stitches removed. Dock will then be introduced to water and when ready will be moved to the nursery pools outside.
Update 20th July 2004 - Dock and Clover were released back to the wild on 16th July 2004 with the help of Orca Seafaris, just off Falmouth.

Dock was first to go and when he finally did go, he swam round the boat for some time before he disappeared. Clover was not happy about going, the swell was quite high, so Clover waited until the cage was nearly touching the water before she would go in.

Captain Keith will be keeping a close eye out for the pups in the future.
