David Attenborough was rescued on 29th October 2011
On the 29th October 2011 we received a call about a pup at Portreath in the early afternoon, the pup was brought back to the Sanctuary and arrived just after 3pm.
The pup was malnourised and in poor body condition with minor bite wounds to its rear flippers and swelling to rear left 5th digit. This pup is a little boy and has been named David Attenborough.
Update: 23rd November 2011
- David Attenborough is now in the convalescent pool for his final stage of rehabilitation. His flipper tag number is 13 (green).

- David Attenborough was released back into the wild at Gwithian beach on 17th January 2012 along with Marti Pellow, Finn,
Ronseal and Andy Murray.
