CLOVER was rescued on 23rd January 2004
Clover was rescued on 23rd of January 2004 from Treyarnon Bay in Padstow, she was approximately 7 weeks old and weighed 16.5kg. When Clover arrived at the sanctuary, she was a malnourished pup with numerous deep puncture wounds to body and flippers. Clover had heavy breathing with a bloody discharge from her mouth.
Hospital Update - Clover now weighs 20kg and is self feeding. She is on a course of antibiotics, multi-vits and iron. Clover´s wounds have healed well and they no longer need cleaning. With mild pneumonia in her left lung she was treated with anti-biotics and is on the way to recovery. Once she is fully recovered, we can move her down to the nursery pools to learn to feed herself in the water with the other pups.
Update 20th July 2004 - Clover and Dock were released back to the wild on 16th July 2004 with the help of Orca Seafaris, just off Falmouth.

Dock was first to go and when he finally did go, he swam round the boat for some time before he disappeared. Clover was not happy about going, the swell was quite high, so Clover waited until the cage was nearly touching the water before she would go in.

Captain Keith will be keeping a close eye out for the pups in the future.
