Carwardine was rescued on 15th January 2012
On the 15th January 2012 we received a call from a member of the public at Porthcatho about a pup on the beach.

It was picked up and brought into the Sanctuary where a clinical assessment was carried out and revealed that the pup to be a male weighing 18 kilos and estimated to be around 10 - 12 weeks old. The pup was in a fairly good body condition with high temperature and rear left flipper very swollen. A course of treatment was prescribed to bring the swelling down including the pup´s temperature. The pup is a little boy and has been named Carwardine.
