Captain Luc Picard was rescued on 14th November 2011
Captain Luc Picard was rescued on the 14th November 2011 from Crantock beach near Newquay, the pup was around 5 weeks old and very malnourished at only 11.5 kilos with a large laceration to the underside of belly.
Upon arrival at the sanctuary, the pup was prescribed a course of antibiotics and the wound is being cleaned and treated every day.
Update: 23rd November 2011 - Captain Picard is a feisty pup and is being assisted fed fish by the Animal Care Team the wound is also healing nicely.

Update: 28th January 2012 - Captain Picard is still in the convalescent pool and putting on lots of weight.

Update: 24th April 2012 - Captain Picard was released back into the wild on 13th April 2012 at Gwithian.
