Atom was rescued on 14th November 2014
Atom, 5 week old female grey seal pup, was rescued from the beach at Crantock on the 14th November 2014 weighing only 13kgs. She was found to be malnourished and with a swollen front flipper, also numerous punctures to her flippers and body.

Upon arrival at the Seal Sanctuary she was put into one of isolation pens of the hospital and a full clinical assessment. The Sanctuary´s local vet has prescribed a precautionary course of antibiotics for the pup to fight any infections she may be harbouring.
Atom - Photo taken on 28th December 2014 Update - 30th November 2014 : Atom has been moved into the main hospital is allowed water in her pen so she can exercise her flipper and learn how to feed in water.

Update - 1st January 2015 : Atom is in the nursery pool number 2. Her flipper tag number is 049 (yellow).

Update - 1st February 2015 : We are really sad to tell you that Atom passed away on 13th January 2015.
