[The Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary]

The oceans cover two thirds of our planet, yet mankind is only starting to explore the world beneath the waves. By recreating natural habitats, the Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary renders this amazing underwater kingdom available for all to experience.

Get close up in our Shark Tunnel Black Tip sharks
With ever increasing pressure on our oceans, life as a sea creature can be pretty tough. From hostile rock pool environments to hazards such as man-made pollution, our talks and feeding demonstrations explain how species survive, adapt and flourish in even the harshest conditions.
Goby Bamboo Shark
One of our residents, a Bamboo Shark (photo above right taken soon after arrival), has now been moved into the ocean tank and is doing well. He is now about 60cm long and his colouring has changed to match the other Bamboos.
A talk at our Touch pool One of the displays in our Aquarium
The two photos below are from our North Sea area. The baby rays were born here in 2005 and they are doing well. Eventually they will make it back into the main ray tank but this will not be for a few years as they are far to small at the moment..
