Amelia Earhart was rescued on 5th November 2011
Amelia Earhart was rescued on the 5th November 2011 from the Isles of Scilly, she had been abandoned by her mother, very malnourished and weighing only 9 kilos, we had to stabilise the pup before she could be flown to the Sanctuary.

On Monday 7th November 2011 with her condition improved over the weekend she was flown by helicopter to Penzance where the team collected her and brought her to the Sanctuary.

With isolation full Amelia had to go into the main hospital's pen number one. She is feeding on multi milk due to her young age, and has a welly boot for company.
