WHY SHOULD WE SAVE SEALS?
Some seals are hunted more than others for the size and quantity of their coats. Harp Seals are famous for their soft creamy pelts used for clothing, whereas the Grey, Ribbon and Elephant Seals were hunted for their blubber and their food value.
Seal conservation is vitally important as they are being hunted intensely.
Since the 18th Century, seal hunting has become a big commercial business. Today seal killing still occurs, even though many conservation bodies go to great lenghts to prevent it.

| By getting involved with the adoption scheme, your valuable contribution will directly benefit the seals on their long road to recovery and, in most cases, eventual release. |
