Mud, Glorious Mud!
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is inviting people to enjoy a barefoot squelch in ankle-deep mud over the half-term school holiday.

Boss Trevor Broome and his team have lined up a host of activities designed to help visitors make the most of the beautiful outdoor setting...whatever the weather.

"There´s no point staying indoors, moping and waiting for spring to arrive," said Trevor.
Mud Mud Glorious Mud
"The antidote to those winter blues is to make a virtue out of the soggy conditions."

Hence the Sanctuary has built into its half-term attractions - from 16th to 24th of February 2013 - a challenge called Muddy Mayhem.

"It´s a path through thick, glorious mud and we´ll invite visitors to walk it barefoot and really savour the sensation of all that muck oozing between their toes," added Trevor.

For those not quite so adventurous there will be plenty of other fun to savour...including a trail through an "enchanted wood" searching for the homes of Cornish "piskies;" den-building in the nature garden and a Pirate play area.

Plus of course, the resident seals, sea-lions and other animals, and rescued grey seals pups in the hospital and convalescence pools.
