RESCUED SEAL PUP ANDY MURRAY RANKS NUMBER ONE
AT THE NATIONAL SEAL SANCTUARY
The National Seal Sanctuary has rescued it´s first official seal pup of the season, commencing what is sure to be a hectic rescue season for the Sanctuary´s Animal Care Team.

Sanctuary Animal Care Assistant, Dan Jarvis discovered the injured seal pup at Fisherman´s Cove. A rescue operation was then put in action.

The seal pup, suspected to be just one day old and weighing 15.5 kilos, was brought into the Sanctuary after sustaining injuries to its chin.

The pup was named by the Sanctuary´s Animal Care Team after sporting hero, Andy Murray. Andy, the seal, will now face a structured rehabilitation programme at the Sanctuary where he will learn how to fight for fish and learn the skills necessary to survive in the wild.
