Special Activity Days at the National Seal Sanctuary

The National Seal Sanctuary would like to invite everybody to our special event days this summer. These themed activity days take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until the end of August.

Join with us for ‘Pirate day’ every Tuesday. You can hunt for Captain Billy Bone’s treasure, buried many years ago at the Sanctuary. Take part in arts and crafts by designing your own pirate flag.

Wednesday will be ‘Hawaiian day’ where you can get a discount if you visit the Sanctuary on that day wearing a grass skirt. We’ll also have hula hoop competitions and flower lei making.

To celebrate the arrival of our two new residents Mika and Chaff - South African Fur Seals, come and party with African Day every Thursday. Events include a safari around the Sanctuary and tribal mask painting.

‘These events will add extra fun to everyone’s visit to the Seal Sanctuary’ said Michelle Drew, Attraction Manager.

‘There will be free face painting and lots of games and activities that children of all ages can enjoy, with some really great prizes and gifts.’ added Michelle
