| Sanctuary to send delegate to Junior Sea Life Conference |
The National Seal Sanctuary is looking for a local youngster to represent it at the first ever National Junior Sea Life Conference in Birmingham in July 2008.

"We need to find a youngster aged 10 to 14 who will team up with one of our own marine experts to put together a report on any marine issue that really concerns them.
"It could be pollution, overfishing or whaling, for example," she added, "or maybe they're horrified about the exploitation of seahorses for Chinese medicines, or the grisly trade in shark fins." Whoever is chosen will travel with a parent or guardian and accompanying marine expert to stay at the luxurious Hilton Metropole Hotel. |
Day Two will be reserved for the presentations, one of which could provide the topic of the next major conservation campaign by the entire Sea Life network…comprising 27 attractions in 10 countries.

The Sanctuary is urging would-be delegates to write in and describe the issue they would like to talk about…in no more than 100 words.
